Insomnia- never sleeping. At all. Ever. The most serious of sleep disorders.
Depression- general morbidness, thoughts of suicide, seeing the glass as half empty when it’s full, etc.

I;d get a doctor’s perscription.

Dear One, Second, go to your doctor and get a physical in order to rule out anything else. Tell him how you feel and he will refer you to a therapist. First, call this number: 1-800/273-TALK It is the National Suicide Hotline and a volunteer who has survived depression will talk with you. Please call.

I have a really bad problem that I can’t get to sleep. Especially nowadays in Australia it is summer, and it is far too hot and I just can’t get to sleep. I’m on my laptop til the wee hours of the morning. I was wondering do you know any good way to induce sleep (apart from using sleeping pills)?

How harmful is long term-term use of Simply Sleep for insomnia?

Question by Peter F: How harmful is long term-term use of Simply Sleep for insomnia?
I have been taking 100mg per night (without noticeable side effects) for over a year. I started using it after Ambien lost effectiveness.

Why do you have to take it every night?

Some medical conditions may interact with Simply Sleep . Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you have any medical conditions, especially if any of the following apply to you:

if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or are breast-feeding
if you are taking any prescription or nonprescription medicine, herbal preparation, or dietary supplement
if you have allergies to medicines, foods, or other substances
if you have asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), chronic bronchitis, emphysema, lung disease, shortness of breath, or sleep apnea
if you have blockage of the stomach, intestine, or urinary tract; difficulty urinating; diabetes; ulcers; enlargement of the prostate; glaucoma; heart disease; high blood pressure; porphyria; or thyroid disease
Some MEDICINES MAY INTERACT with Simply Sleep . Tell your health care provider if you are taking any other medicines, especially any of the following:

Sodium oxybate (GHB) because an increase in sleep duration and a decrease in the ability to breathe are likely to occur

MAO inhibitors (eg, phenelzine) because they can cause serious, sometimes fatal, reactions. Do NOT take MAO inhibitors within 2 weeks of taking Simply Sleep.

Read the second line up…..fatal that means DEAD, if you take it with MAO inhibitors.

You should switch to Melatonin 1 mg. your body produces it naturally when the room is darkened. If you take it about 20 minutes before bedtime, be sure to stay in a darkened room for it to work. Once your eyes sense light, the melatonin will be dumped out of your bloodstream. You can buy Melatonin over the counter. Stay off the chemical meds.

Could I have a legitimate case of insomnia?

Posted by as Insomnia

Question by tessa!: Could I have a legitimate case of insomnia?
My nights have been extremely repetitive. I try to go to bed and as soon as i hit my pillow, I start thinking of a million things that keep me up for hours until I finally just give up and go do something. It really affects me in the mornings as well. I’ll have the hardest time getting up and I always physically look tired.

Could I have insomnia or is it just a phase?

Here are some tips to follow in order to avoid sleeping problems. Try to use them for two weeks and see what happens. If this does not help you may try one of the OTC sleep aids, for example melatonin. Of course you may talk to your doctor to make sure that you don’t have any other condition causing your insomnia. Good luck.
